Jul13,23

Hypochlorous acid solution (slightly acidic electrolyzed water) can be used as a fruit and vegetable cleaning agent to remove pesticide residues from fruits and vegetables. According to the research paper of “Journal of Food Safety and Quality Inspection”, the hypochlorous acid solution (slightly acidic electrolyzed water) has a significant effect on removing pesticide residues in vegetables, which is better than washing and soaking in water, as shown in the figure below (SAEW refers to the removal effect of hypochlorous acid water) .
U.S. FDA certification, hypochlorous acid as a liquid antibacterial agent can be used in the production and processing of meat or poultry; processed or prepared meat and poultry, fish and seafood, fruits and vegetables, and cleaning of eggs. As shown below.
In 2002, Japan promulgated the standard “Manual of Acidic Electrolyzed Water for Food Additives” for the disinfection of food processing industry, catering and fruits and vegetables, expanding the application field of acidic electrolyzed water to the catering industry and food processing industry.
